Bastard Mill, St Gennys
« on: Tuesday 20 April 10 16:41 BST (UK) »
Some of my Robins ancestors lived at Bastard Mill, which I think lies just in the parish of St Gennys.
Today this would be regarded as a rather rude name - how did it come to be named so?

If you search at familysearch.org
BASTARD is a common name in several areas including Cornwall and Devon
so may have been after family land owners??
