BUCKLANDS born in Berkshire

I'm looking for any children of John Buckland and Jane Hall, that may have been born in Berkshire.

They married in 1696 in Stoke Poges, Bucks and had 7 children all born in Langley Marish. However, there is a gap of 15 years between two of their children (1703 - 1718), when no births were registered for these two in Bucks.

I'm hoping to find some missing children, born during this period in any of the neighbouring counties.

Hi,

First of all, have you considered that

a) the couple may have had an early son they called John who married a Jane and started having children in 1718?
or
b) that Jane may have died in or soon after 1703 and that John remarried to another Jane?

Secondly, have you posted on the Middlesex Board? Places like Uxbridge, West Drayton, Cowley, Hillingdon are all only a couple of miles over the county border from Langley Marish.

Yes, I did initially suppose that there were either two John and Janes, or that they had a son called John who also married a Jane.

a)They did have a son called John, but he was born in 1703 and therefore too young to have married and had children by 1718. He married Anne Dawson in 1733.

b) I can find no other marriage between a John and Jane in Bucks.

I shall post a message on the Middlesex Board.
