Eileen Mary Ellison - Lane
« on: Saturday 24 April 10 15:52 BST (UK) »
Eileen Mary Lane nee Ellison was a famous ladies racing driver in the 1930s. In 1940 she married my cousin Sq Ldr Brian John Edward Lane who was a Spitfire Ace Pilot in WW2: he was sadly killed in action 2 years later. Before she married and then after Brian was killed she returned from South Africa to her home Boidec La Marquanderie St Brelade St Helier. Also resident there in later years was Owen Fargus a wealthy Landowner. I would like to know if her home Boidec still exists at La Marquanderie. The house name may have changed but someone may know where racing driver Eileen Mary Lane nee Ellison lived. Eileen died at St Helier Hospital in 1967. If anyone can assist me I would be most grateful. Thank you

Hi I am researching the Ellison family of Cambridge and was interested in your post about Eileen Ellison the lady racing driver of the 1930s, do you know if there was a book written about these ladies which might have included her?
