Stephen DUNCAN c1821
« on: Tuesday 18 May 04 20:24 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with any birth/baptism or family information for a Stephen DUNCAN born c1821 Marylebone, Middlesex?

By 1841 he had migrated to Wharton, Cheshire to work in the local salt industry and appears on the 1841 census for Cheshire aged 20.

I can't imagine that DUNCAN was a particularly common name in Middlesex or London at that time, so any sightings would be most welcome.

According to Stephen's marriage entry in 1843 his fathers name was John DUNCAN occupation Gardener(no mention of him being deceased) so perhaps John DUNCAN was living in Marylebone in 1841?

Regards,
Odessa.
