16 Barry Street Kirkdale Liverpool

If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful:

I am trying to find the residents of 16 Barry Street Kirkdale in 1893. I understand there may be street indexes of Liverpool as there are of other cities such as Belfast.

Or could anyone tell me who was living there in the 1891 census

I have discovered a relative Archibald Macfarlane born at that address in June 1893 to my great aunt Ellen Marcfarlane. I know her family are from Anglesey and have them there on a number of census records and am trying to understand why she would have had this child in Liverpool and am working on the hunch that she must have had family there.

In the 1891 census it was a William Perry (could be Parry), 23, Miller and Stone Dresser, wife Mary Ann 24, and daughter 7 months? all born Liverpool.

Do you know if there are street indexes for Liverpool from that time and may I ask how you are able to look up an address on the census without a name?

In March, I emailed the Liverpool Record Office to ask a near identical question for 1875 (different address in Kirkdale) and they replied the following day by email.

The address is recoffice.central.library@liverpool.gov.uk

I asked for the years either side of the one I wanted too, to allow for the delay in publishing the directory after the information was submitted, and there seemed to have been trade/street directories released each year.

In 1894 Kelly's directory, there are only two dwellings listed in Barry Street, numbers 58 and 87.

Occupant of 16 in 1901 was John Jones, a sailor.

Sorry I do not have anything for 1893.  I think Alpinecottage has come up with the best solution,  although ShaunJ  has discovered that there doesn`t seem to be an entry for the 1894 Kellys directory.
