Any help on Rutherford & Varry

 I wonder if anyone can help with some information on
Joseph Rutherford b1814 Half Morton Annan m Janet Varry 1844 of the parish of Hoddam
I know they had a daughter
 Janet b.Hoddam 1846 m Alexander Bell 1871 Annan
And i think Janet had a sister Margaret b 1850
 I would welcome any information on Joseph Rutherford and Janet Varry as seem to have got stuck on them.

Hi, I found the family on the 1851 census, which i am guessing you have as you have details about Margaret, this looks like them on the 1861. As Joseph and Janet have died after 1855 you will be able to get their death records from scotlands people which should give you their parents names. Tracing them in the census's should narrow down their years of death.

Janet 36  wife  agr labourer  brn Cummertrees, Dumfries

Margaret  10  daught  brn Anan

Jemima  8  daught  brn Anan

Andrew  6  son   brn Cummertree, Dumfries

William 4  son brn Cummertrees, Dumfries

Joseph  1  son  brn Anan

They were living at Howes Cottages , Anan

Living with a David and Janet Porteous, as their servant

Joseph Rutherford & Janet Varry also had a son Walter John RUTHERFORD - Born 4th Oct 1864 - Annan, DFG (GROS 812/00 0126) .....Hope this helps too............ & Rgds.
