Kelly's in Corick
« on: Tuesday 04 May 10 05:27 BST (UK) »
I am looking for help locating information on the following family from Corick:

This information taken from the 1911 Irish Census
Kelly, Margaret (mother)
Bridget dau 35
Catherine dau 26
Sarah dau 25
James son 24

I believe Margaret is the sister to 4 McWilliam's brothers that emigrated to the US in the mid 1850's.  Brothers are Michael, James, Bernard & John.  There may have been other siblings but these are the only one's I am aware of at this time.

I am attaching a photo I think was taken in 1925.  These may be the Kelly kids.

Hi,
Emerald Ancestors gives a marriage of James Kelly to Margaret McWilliams on 2 Feb 1869 in Draperstown Roman Catholic Church. A parent search on the IGI gives The Following children.
1869  Bridget
1871 John
1873 Bernard
1875 Mary
1878 Ann.

It states that Ann was born in Corrick.

Regards
Stewart, Irwin, Morrison, Haslett, Murrell - Dungiven area Co. Londonderry
Browne, Barrett -Co.Armagh
Neil, Smyth _Co. Antrim

Wow!  Thank you so much for the lookup.  The information is helpful.

I have a connection to Anne Downey from Cloughfin, Draperstown, Ireland that was writing to the family at least until 1967.  I wonder if that Anne Downey is Anne Kelly Downey.  I suspected the Downey's and Kelly's were cousins, not both descended from the same family but now I see I probably had that wrong.
