Hair colour
« on: Friday 07 May 10 21:25 BST (UK) »
In the absence of my tutor I'm trying the other experts on this one!

I'm colouring a black and white photo in Paintshop Pro, is there another way of doing the hair colour, apart from just picking a colour from the palette? I don't think they'd have had hair dyes in those days so I want the colours to look natural.    :)

Am feeling rather upset that none of the photo restorers on here will at least tell me what they do. Looks like I'll just have to wait and ask my tutor.  :'( :'(

Oh Roobarb !!  :( :(

I genuinely don't think you've been deliberately ignored, I'm wondering whether you might have put your query in the wrong place for one of the restorers to see it ?

If I was you I would repeat your query on the actual restoration board, with a link to this so people don't reply on both threads.

You should hopefully get a better response from there. Having said that, if I'd been you I'd have put it here too ?

Pels.

Thank you Roy. Although he seemed to be using a different version of PaintshopPro it was quite helpful, the key to getting a natural hair colour seems to be to adjust the saturation.
Thanks!
