The familysearch website is showing some strange locations due to a fault after the recent update, which may account for the unusual location you've seen

see the topic : Family Search BMDs - problem

I had a look for at the record, and it's one of the extracted births. I'd say it's just a typo during transcription.  I believe that the volunteers are given some drop-down  options in the application they use for transcribing the data - and it looks like maybe the mouse 'slipped' during selection.

Birthplace: Ballina, Ballina, Ballina, Mayo Alejo, Dublin, Ireland

Thank's shanew.Did not think of  that explanation.I would guess the people that are kind enough to do the trascribing when getting tired would be an easy thing to do.

The record in question has a reference number '461' which may relate to a page number on the corresponding record on the civil register, which may be independently transcribed and show the correct registration district. The reference details on this would allow you to order a cert.
