Piedmont parish registers HANLON

I would be very grateful for any information on the parents of Peter Hanlon who was born in Piedmont, Louth around 1851, or for advice on searching for his details.

I'm not sure which RC parish Piedmont was in but if you can confirm Peter Hanlon's birth was 1851, then there is a birth in 1851 in Dundalk parish, father's name John.
However looking at the map Piedmont is also close to Carlingford and there was a Peter Hanlon born in that parish in 1855, father's name also John

perhaps someone from Louth can confirm which parish is correct.

on Griffiths Valuaton, a survey which names the heads of households throughout the country c. 1850, there are 3 Hanlons listed for Piedmont
Michael Hanlon
John Hanlon
Bridget Hanlon

You could also check out the 1911 census to see if any family remained in Piedmont (civil parish Ballymascanlan). 1901 census due online in June hopefully

According to the details for RC parishes on the Irish Times website the townland of Piedmont is in the Catholic parish of Lordship (Ravensdale). In addition Ryan's Irish records states that some parts of the associated civil parish  (Ballymascanlon) are contained in the RC parish of Faughart.

details of records for
  RC parish of Lordship
  RC parish of Faughart

Records for the parish of Lordship start in around 1838, and those for Faughart in 1851

note - the Church of Ireland records for this parish do not survive.
