Hemingford Burials
« on: Sunday 09 May 10 18:08 BST (UK) »
Hi All
Would anyone be able to give me details of burials at Hemingford for any Stephen Robinsons. I know there are several Robinson  families at Hemingford but my earliest one is Stephen who I believe was born around 1756 showing born in county in 1841 but I don't know where. His daughter Elizabeth married William Titchmarsh & his son William marries Ann Titchmarsh.
Thanks Lynn

Hi David
Thanks for those 2 burials. The 95 year old is I believe my 4xgtgrandfather but I am struggling to find details of my 3xgt-grandfathers baptism. William born 1804 states father Stephen on his 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Lovell nee Lander. I posted on Cambridge board about a Stephen who married Elizabeth Cropley now after seeing your reply on there, I need to go back to the drawing board!!! Feel there may be a generation missing so need to see Hemingford baptisms.
Thanks Lynn

Hemingford Abbots baptisms have been extracted onto the IGI. But not Hemingford Grey where there were also Robinsons.

The only Stephen marriage in Hunts 1754-1837 was in 1821 to Jane Bow at Hemingford Abbots. She died pre 1851 and was probably the Jane buried at HA on 10 March 1850, but no age is given

Hello Lynn,    I have a Mary Lander b 1829 Fenstanton who married Stephen Bishop of Hemingford Grey in Cambridge RD in ec 1854. She was daughter of John Lander b 1804 Hilton, Hunts & Mary Gee who married in 1828 Fenstanton.

I know the Huntingdon Archives have the Hemingfords, Grey & Abbots parish records, indexed available on CD. You could contact them if you cannot get there yourself.

Regards
John
