Hi Again

You guys will be sick of me.
Found a tree with Bridget on with her arrival as 1857 on the Lady Milton.

Have looked at the original entry and she is with a sister Mary.
They are going to stay with their sister Mrs Doolan who is at Port St,Emerald Hill.Think that is what the abbreviaton says.

Could you please have a look for a marriage for Mary Wood(Woods)
And births for Mrs Doolan maiden name Wood(Woods)

Have just had another look at Bridget's marriage and her sister might have been a witness but really am battling to read the surname it looks a little like La--h

Otherwise you could search the Vic BDM on line, it will cost you 99 cents to view a page.

I am having trouble trying to copy the signature of the Mary on the marriage cert.
Will go and have at look at the wills because from memory there was one for a Dennis.

I doubt that the surname WARD [hopefully WOOD] would be mistranscribed 11 times.  It is WARD on each of the 7 entries on the birth index.

This couple had two children by the name Dennis.  A Dennis died in 1854 aged 7 months and was born in Sydney and then  Margaret, Mary and James died as infants and each entry on the index has WARD as mother.  I can see no birth or marriage registration in NSW.  However this is before civil registration.

Have just found a death on Beta for

Mary Ward 6/1/1913 sister of Mrs D Doolan aged 87 yrs.
So it seems that the surname is Ward.

Margaret Tierney is who i am trying to match these girls up to.
I am helping a friend and he stated that Bridget Tierney that married George Lough was the sister of Margaret Tierney.
Margaret & William Tierney were meant to have married in Penn Yan New York between 1848 & 1856,it seems all there children before they arrived were born in Terryglass,Co tipperary.This was stated on her death cert also her parents were Denis Wodds & Elizabeth Flinn.
So the death for Bridget is the right one.
The only problem is that i found a tree that stated that Bridget came out on the Lady Milton,when i had a look she was with a sister Mary and they were going to their sister Mrs Doolan at Emerald Hill.

So now am not sure if the tree has the right information about when Bridget came out.
