Samuel Shaw

Samuel Shaw married Mary Ellen Forrester in 1873 in Staffordshire and he died November 28th 1878 at 27 years old this is my Great Great Grandfather and I`am looking for anything on him. His death card I have says Interment at Caverswall Church on Dec. 1st 1878. Thank you for any help.

That was all I had. I didn`t know what you sent and yes anything on him...lol he died young so not sure what happened. Thank you very much for your reply anything you can give me would be great.

Thank you very much. If you find anything on why he died so young that would be great. Question for you Bri is there a way to find out if there are any decendants that are still alive.

hiya,
the only way of finding why he died so young is to obtain a copy of his death certificate. Checking on any decendents of his will mean checking later census records(1881/1891 etc) and tracing his line forward.
It's a tall order, maybe posting again for Shaw decendents on a family history website may help.
His death cert will give the last place he was living, from that look at the 1881 census etc.

Samuel had a daughter, Emma Shaw born 1876approx. No male line though so you will need to look for a later marriage of Emma.

Emma Elizabeth Shaw got married June quarter 1897, doesn't give the partners name though. You would have to buy a marriage certificate for this but at least it will give you the leads you need.

She married a Richard Phillips as far as I can tell. Does this surname ring any bells.
