Royal Welch Fusaliers

Hi
Iam trying to find the military records for Sergeant Charles Ashford. All I know is he was born around 1892 and he signed up to the Royal Welch Fusiliers in Wrexham. I have no dates but he served in India Malta Ireland Afghanistan in WW1. In WW2 he was Sargeant Major and served in Dunkirk France.
Can anyone point me in the right direction

WW2 records are still with the Army although near relatives can request access

WW1 medal card can be bought for £2 from National Archives. There is a Charles H Ashford RWF, first as a Private then as a Lance Corporal in WW1 - see this link:
