there's a Mary Harrison in Launceston in 1841, a confectioner HO107/154/1 folio 39 pg 29. Is that your Mary? If son, she's not born in county, so may not have been married in Cornwall. Can't see it on the county marriage index.

There aren't many Harrison events in Launceston on the OPC search

and the 19th century ones could be all the one family, if John had been married before which, from his age, at burial looks a possibility.

Possible sighting of Sampson in Taunton HO107/972/5 folio 15 pg 22. Do you have him in Plymouth in 1861 & 1871?
