oooh -it's me who should be feeling thick!!!

For some reason I completely miissed George in 1851 -and I looked more than once!!!!

1861 he has been transcribed as "Brent" -age 16 with John & Ann Richards on Alderney

Hi Suz

Well I've looked and looked but still not convinced about this man. On his marriage certificate he says father's name is Thomas Brind so I'm not sure that this is my man.

Any other sugestions about George Brind / Brint / Brent or what ever his name maybe!

Thanks for your help so far

Pebs

Instead of concentrating on George I am going to have a good look for a Thomas brind who may "fit the bill"

Hi Suz

This is really good of you - as they say 2 heads are better than 1 - so we might yet find him.

Here's all the information I know about them - not that there's alot

When George and Maria married, Thomas was listed as the father and it doesn't say he was deceased so I have assumed he was still alive somewhere.
They married on 22nd March 1874 at the parish church of St Mary, Reading, Berkshire.

Someone has suggested also looking for the marriage banns in the parish as this might give a clue as to which parish they were from so I might also post on the Berkshire board see if anyone could look it up for me.

Thanks again

Pebs
