1821- only a few volumes for Co. Fermanagh survive (PRONI)- parish of Aghalurcher (townlands of Altamartin, Altamullaboy, Altdwark, Attaclenobrien, Aughavory, Augheetor, Carahoney, Cavanalack, Cleen, Colebrooke, Comnohy, Corlacky, Corrafat, Cran, Corckadreen, Currylongford, Derrintony, Derrychrum, Dordrany, Drumrock, Dunavoghy, Esnasillong, Esthomas, Feavanny, Foglish, Grogy, Killarbin, Killybawn, Lamphill, Legtiladay, Lisavinick, Moughly, Mount Gibbon, Owenskerry, Ranult, Stripe, Tatenahoglish, Tattyreagh, Tereaghan, Tullaharney, Tullichanie and Tulnavarin), Parish of Derryvullen (PRONI MIC/5A and MIC/15A).
1831-1891- none (although see
Old Age Pension Claims below).
1851- parish of Drumkeeran (townland of Clonee) (PRONI MIC/15A).
Old Age Pension Claims: the introduction of old age pension (min. age 70) c1909 meant 1841 and 1851 census returns were checked as claimants were born before civil registration of births started in 1864. Extracts from these census searches are in the pension claim files (PRONI).
It is sometimes worth checking for people slightly younger than pension age (surprising how many people weren't as old as they said!) or older siblings whose details can fill in family details such as names of parents and year of marriage, townland, etc.
1901- complete for all Ireland. Microfilm copies can be found at PRONI and LDS libraries (either in stock or to order). Eventually to be added to National Archives, Dublin website (see below)
