I cannot get my ancestor info in Germany. Charles or Christian Schumacher (he used both 1st names) born Oct. 13, 1839 possibly Maurence au Rhine or Munich...he wrote Prussia on US census'. Said his father was Christian Schumacher a teacher in the government college of Hershen, Ger. Death certificate lists parents as Fredrick William Schumacher of Munich and Henrietta Gausauer (must be another spelling). I have him in Nebraska and Kansas and Calif. in US. Came to US @ 1857. I cannot find emigration info. or a birth certificate. Any help greatly appreciated.
