Where is Baldoyle, 1901

This seems like a silly question, but can someone tell me where to find Baldoyle on the 1901 Census?

I've already found 3 places in 1901 census where the townlands are incorrectly spelt. Have you tried searching with surname, etc. yet?- if you want to post the details here we'll try to find it.

Looks like they just did an update.

Baldoyle Town is now showing up in Coolock DED.

Forget that, I was looking on the 1911.

I think it should have been in the Coolock DED - but I've found no sign of it yet.

I dont think google has finished indexing the new 1901 pages yet, but when it does it might be worth another search to see it's ended up in another DED .

the following google format searches the 1901 Dublin data by location :

I have the Genealogical Society index to 1901 for Howth, Sutton, Kilbarrack & Baldoyle and so far, despite numerous searches, I have found nothing on Baldoyle.

The townlands listed in the Coolock, Part of, DED for 1911 seem to be missing from 1901 e.g. Baldoyle, Grange, Stapolin etc.

Here's just one example of many from the GSI Index to 1901:

James Arnold, house number 83, Baldoyle Village, ref 32/5.

I have a hard copy of this record which I got previously from the NAI so I know it should be online.

The census website is down at the moment, but when it comes back on line I'll have search for some people listed in Thom's 1904 in the Baldoyle area, to see if any of them show up...

Hi all, I'm having similar problems, I have a
couple on the 1901 for Dublin and the wife
is listed with birthplace  Portown and can't find it under this
spelling but there is another family listed in Antrim who also
list Portown as birthplace but it does'nt come up in a place search
 for anywhere in Ireland.
                                                                   Anne
p.s. The  name is not mistranscribed,it's on the actual form too.Help! :'(

Some of the people listed in Baldoyle in Thom's appear in the the various Howth DEDs - Kilbarrack upr/lwr, Howth, Censure [?], Quarry etc

e.g the Rev. Rob. S. Kerr is listed in Thom's as living in Baldoyle, but appears on the 1901 census in Quarry, Howth  A Todd family are also listed in  Baldoyle in Thom's, but seem to appear on the census in the townland of Censure in Howth DED

There are definitely quite a few that I cannot find, also some in Thom's just have Mr or Mrs with no occupation etc - so not easy to confirm the details.

Thanks for trying Shane.

I have found the various Howth townlands.

All the townlands listed in1911 as 'Coolock, Part Of' seem to be missing:
