I am researching the Bloody Sunday "Cairo Gang" murders, and one of the men on the list that morning, 21 Nov 1920, was this man Capt W T King (he seems to be often referred to as "Major") and was in The Auxiliaries. He was out when the squad called, so survived.
King was later court martialed and acquitted of the murders of Patrick Kennedy and James Murphy in Dublin in Feb 1921. He was then transferred to Galway. I could only find these two snippets on his time in Galway.
The night of murders in Galway city, the conflict at the dance hall which involved the notorious Major William Lorraine ''TIny'' King during the truce
King was transferred to Galway city where it seems he caused a near riot during the truce.
Does anyone know what he was up to in Galway with the Auxiliaries in 1921.
