I'm trying to trace my 4 x ggfather's baptism in Hethe - James Barnes. I've found him on all the censuses, but he seems a bit unsure as to his date of birth, it's either c1807 or c 1826.
Can anyone help? The IGI seems very poor for this area.

Though the IGI doesn't cover much of Oxfordshire, the Oxfordshire Family History Society does!  www.ofhs.org.uk

We have CDs covering each parish, and a Search Services as well.

Looking at your other posts, you are obviuosly interested in BARN(E)S, and there is a James baptised in 1825 - is that the person you're interested in?
