DYKE Family, Marsh Lane, Calne, Wiltshire

Hi everyone, I'm new here! I'm researching the Dyke family of Calne in Wiltshire. My Great Grandfather was Isaac Dyke, born 1850 at Marsh Lane, Calne. His mother is named as Elizabeth Dyke, but there is no father named. On the 1851 census he is living with his grandparents, William and Elizabeth Dyke. Can anyonrehelp with any more info about this family? :)

Hi there

If anyone is able to look up the baptism for you, it may give a 'reputed' father. Some of my Burgess baptisms from Calne do.

Yes, I have his birth certificate, and there is no father named. I have a copy of the 1851 census for his family, where he is listed as 'Isaac Grandson' aged 11 months. It would be great if the 'reputed' father showed up on his baptism info!

If no-one has replied sooner, I'll take a look next time I'm at the record office for a parish baptism (probably next week).
