Hi , Need some help please . Have William J McKnight on the 1881 census in Battersea London with Widowed mother and 3 siblings.
William J McKnight Born  Canterbury Mar qtr 1860
Richard Born  Wandsworth Sep qtr 1867
Maria Born Chatham C 1855 , CANNOT FIND ON BMD
John Born Canterbury C 1861 , CANNOT FIND ON BMD

Mother is a JANE born Richmond Surrey C 1831 now looked for a Marriage Jane to a McKnight and found Jane Cheal Marriage to a John McKnight in Canterbury Jun qtr 1859 , could this be them just guessing. Looks like her husband died between 1866 and 1881 but again nothing suitable on BMD.

So can somebody look them up in pre 1881 census,s  please , usual stuff please address and who is at home please . Also anybody find Maria and John,s birth as well on BMD i would be delighted .

1861 is less than helpful as only initilas - but it seems Mr McK was in the Infantry

WOW !! Thats fanastic as usual. That gets my family back to Ireland . Miltown Malbay I guess is the correct spelling.
But what of Maria B 1855 , no BMD record and not with family in 61 or 71 , and John B 1861 ?
And who is Jane McKnight (widowed) head of family in 1881 , does she show up in earlier Census returns?.
