Abraham Bell and Jane Silversides
« on: Monday 21 June 10 03:37 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find some info on Abraham Bell and Jane Silversides ,  the only information I have is that they were married on 18.12.1804 at Brayton .  My GGG Grandmother Jane Silversides ( their daughter ) was born in Burn in 1814 / 15.  i am not sure if there was any other children.  Any help would be greatly appreciated   :D

Hi

IGI has christenings at Brayton with father Abraham Bell:
William Bell chr 3.8.1809
Thomas Bell chr 9.3.1811
John Bell chr 27 10.1812

At Brayton with father Abraham Bell, mother Jane:
Jane Bell 18.8.1814
Abraham Bell 22.10.1816

Other possible children, father Abraham Bell, mother Jane at the Presbyterian church, Selby (one mile from Brayton)
Isaac Belle, born 7.8.1823 chr 30.11.1824
Hannah Margaret Belle born 27.9.1825 chr 22.10.1825
Job Bell chr 9.2.1828

Jane Silversides born 30.5.1785, chr 1.6.1785, Selby, father Thomas, mother Hannah looks likely to be your Jane, who would have been 43 when Job was christened. There were probably other children before 1809 and between 1816 and 1823, but I can't find them on the IGI.

Hu Denise
You do realise you could have found this for yourself?    The IGI is free for all to search at www.familysearch.org    It does not cover all parishes and you have to be wary of member sumbitted entries but it is an amzing resource and such fun to look through.  It will keep you occupied for hours!
