I'm interested in anything on Richard and Jane Bowness who were in Kendal in the early 1800s. I think they may have had a shop and or warehouse somewhere on Highgate. Not sure if they had any children.

Can't see any in Pigot's 1828/9 any where near, sorry.
Of couse there could be a farmer's daughter or other inhabitant of a farm who started their own cottage industry.
