If Gladys Ida Green b.Jun.qtr. 1899 Kingston is 'yours' as seems likely now it looks like the family could have moved to Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk after the 1911 Census. Not allowed to post details but you can view it for free tomorrow on find my past as England are playing Wednesday. Besides Gladys they had a 7 yr old son in 1911. There are 5 Green Births at Bury St. Edmunds between 1912 and 1921, all boys, where mothers maiden name is Bass. I cannot find another possible Green/Bass marriage in the required time frame so any, or indeed all, may belong to Arthur and Ruth.
In the June quarter of 1922 Bury St. Edmunds a Gladys I. Green married a Raymond D. Allen. Supposing that the I. stood for Ida I then looked for a death for a Gladys Ida Allen and found:
Gladys Ida Allen b.9/6/1899, d.1974 Bury St. Edmunds - this ties in with the birth entry found at Kingston. (There is no record of a Gladys Ida Green born in Suffolk in 1899).
Also at Bury St. Edmunds are possible deaths for Ruth and Arthur.
Ruth Green aged 81 d.1954 Bury St. Edmunds i.e. bc.1872/3
Arthur Green aged 78 d.1956 Bury St. Edmunds i.e. bc.1877/8.
If you purchased the birth certificate of Gladys Ida Green b.1899 Kingston this would confirm if the birthdate is the same as the one I've found.
Hopefully I've found the right family.
Annette
