I'm trying to trace, for a friend, her Irish ancestry. The following are the known facts.
Annie Jane McIntyre (b. Feb 14 1862) married in Montreal in 1885. Her parents were listed as James McIntyre and Fanny Stewart of Co. Donegal Ireland. On the 1891 Canadian census there is 18 year old Alice McIntyre (b. 1873 Ire.) living with the family. I haven't found Alice further in Canadian records. The descendant of Annie Jane believes Annie's birth took place in Londonderry and she has the father as John. Annie came to Canada in 1883 - I haven't found that record so don't know if she came alone or with others.
The following are things I've found but not sure if they relate to Annie Jane or not
There is a passenger record for the Circassian arriving from Liverpool and Londonderry at Quebec May 12 1885. It shows the arrival of 19 year old Frances McIntyre (b. 1866) and 11 year od Alice McIntyre (b. 1874) and their destination Montreal.
IGI references show the following children born to Frances Stewart and James McIntyre
Frances McEntire c. 10 Feb 1866 Rathmullan Donegal
Samuel McIntyre c. 17 Dec 1870 Donegal
Mary Helen McIntire c. 17 Feb 1876 Rathmullan Donegal
I can find a Griffith Valuation for James McIntyre, tenant in Londonderry County Templemore East Parish which, from a source I can't recall, was brought up when I was searching for where Rathmullan was located.
Not sure if I should be looking in Londonderry or Donegal.
