MULVIHILL, CULLINAN, O'BRIEN

Hello,
Does anyone know anything  about the Mulvihill family of Clare.  My 3x Grandfather Patrick Mulvihill married Arabella Cullinan [of Ennis], date uncertain altho' they were both young - born c.1817 arr. Australia 1839 and had already had 3 ch, Ann , Daniel and Abraham. Arabella's mother maiden name was Bridget O'Brien. There was apparently a relationship with the Boucher family as well altho' the connection is unclear.
If anyone in Ennis knows of the families, or can look them up in Parish rec. I would be grateful for any information.  The only other info. I can give you is that they were well literate. I know about their lives here in Oz but it is the Irish side that is a mystery.

Oooh Exciting!

I have a gg grandmother Margaret Stickley Ingram or Stickley or Ingram or Ingham, formerly Mulvihill/ Mulville etc -

Only bit of the name I can trace is the Stickley is from her husband.  She claims to have been born in Co Clare on some English censuses and ended up in Lancashire, various towns.  Born about 1835? 

Will check.  No marriage I can find under and name.  Former name is under a child's birth certificate.

Can't wait to see what you get.

Hello Neverendingstory,

Not sure if we've been in contact before?

I share the same ancestors, and like you are at a standstill in reference to more information.

I visited Ennis last October, nice little city, but the weather was terrible. Our visit to Dysart cemetery was washed out. (made the mistake in taking along my wife)

I plan on returning, armed with a little more knowledge, and better conditions, hoping to uncover more information on our family.
