Barrett Family (Abertysswg / Rhymney Valley) * COMPLETED *
« on: Tuesday 22 June 10 21:44 BST (UK) »
Looking for any leads on descendants of William Cartwright Barrett.

He was with his single brother Robert Morris Barrett and both were lodging in 1901 with their married brother John Barrett who married Sarah Clark.

The Barrett family were living at 11 Walter Street c1901 and Robert & John moved to and died in the Rhondda whilst William remained in the Abertysswg area as his death is registered in 1943 at Bedwellty RO aged 57

Thank you very much

I am waiting for a family connection to email me, I believe they have names for William's children which I can then check against what you have found.

I, too, believe he may have married as plain William but his death is under William C. Barrett.

I had a 3 hour meeting with a 3rd cousin and his family last Saturday and we know there may be surviving descendants in the Rhymney Valley. There are certain family connections in the Rhondda

My 1911 census subscription has just expired, bills have to be paid first before thinking of renewal to confirm those records pre 1911 , but there is a William C. Barrett listed under Bedwellty and married by 1911.

Thank you again for your effort
