Tracing Thomas RICE born between 1778 & 1781

Dear Listers

Trying to trace my 4xgreat grandparents and I'm stuck!!

Believe he was born around 1778-1781 in Peter Tavy? --

1841 census has him down as labourer, aged 60 living with his daughter and son and law in Gilbert's Court, Stoke Damerel. (wife Jane aged 55 born also in Peter Tavy)

1851 census has him down at 40 Tavistock Street, Stoke Damerel, aged 73 (wife Jane aged 71)

Dates seem to conflict but as I'm new to this seraching wasn't sure how to check this???

If I could find out accurate birth dates for Thomas (and Jane) and when they were married that would really help.

Believe after searching further that Thomas Rice was born 1777 baptised 30.9.1777 married Joan Lang who we born in1780 baptised 23 7 1780 married on 15 4 1805 in Lamerton but cannot find date of death for either of them. Any help would be much appreciated.....
