Hi Dawn

There's a lot of children there  :)

Could you please give details of when you have last 'seen' them (on census etc ) so we don't spend a lot of time looking for what you may already have.

Cheers

Ruth Annie HANCOCK
She's with her parents in 1901 (see above for Zilpah)  - must be just about to be getting wed!

MARRIAGE:  Jun Qtr 1901 Stafford
James Jervis MELLOR & Ruth Annie HANCOCK

You could try finding her with husband & children in 1911 -  here
http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx?4

DEATH - possible:
Ruth A  MELLOR age 54 (b Abt 1875)
Sep Qtr 1929, Staffordshire - ref: 6b, page 20

DEATH - possible:
James J MELLOR age 72 (born abt 1876)
Sep Qtr 1948, Staffordshire - ref: 9b, page 316

Thanks Ambly, this helps me go onto the next layer of my research.  I always wonder what happened to the rest of the family that Peter left in England when he sailed to New Zealand in 1879.
Thanks again Ambly.

Hi from Canada

I am the grand daughter of Charles Henry Hancock born June 24, 1875.

I have a fair amount of information on his descendants.

You show the two oldest children which I was unaware of.

I would love to share info with you.

Where do you live?  And which one of the descendants are you?

Looking forward to a reply.

Connie

This is Thursday night January 15th and I am leaving tomorrow morning for the weekend.

Posting this message on behalf of Dawne

I am the great granddaughter of Peter Hancock. He arrived in New Zealand with his wife Emma Foster and their son Enoch (my grandfather) on 2 January 1889 on the “Western Monarch”

They left one daughter at home with Emma’s mother.

I have certified copies of Jabez’s Death Certificate and his Marriage Certificate plus his Will.

I have certified copies of all the above for Peter plus his birth certificate.

I also have a certified copy of Ruth Annie’s birth certificate.

Peter lived all the rest of his life in Stratford, New Zealand.

My father was Wilfred Thomas Hancock, the youngest child of Enoch Wood  and Lizzie Ann Hancock.  (nee Archer)

If you look at the web site for “Mow Cop” there is a bit more re the Hancock’s.

Most of the rest for my information has come from the internet so I can not say it is all the correct information.

Thanks for contacting me.
