Eliza Partridge b 1817
« on: Monday 05 July 10 20:54 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to verify info received from another source..

I have an Eliza Partridge born about 1817 who married John Savage at Odell on 8/6/1843. On the 1851, 71, 81 censuses she is born Isham, Northants (with 1861 saying she's born Odell)

Now is she the Eliza P baptised in Odell on 23/2/1817 to parents William & Elizabeth, who also baptised Harriett 1819, Thomas 1821, William Bolt 1822, Mercy 1825 & John 1828;  which is similar to the 1841 census entry at Odell of William 1801, John 1827, Eliza 1821 (born in county!) Harriett 1821 & Mary 1826. Is this the same family. When did wife Elizabeth die ? & was she Elizabeth Ward? & she married William 21/10/1816 but not told where.

And is this William P the one baptised Poddington on 25/5/1793 to William & Mary ?

Any thoughts welcome

John

I do, but unfortunately my mother is cooking us a meal! The brussels are already on.

I'll see you at Blars - perhaps a quick oner or three afterwards

See you tomorrow

From her marriage certificate, Eliza's father is William Partridge, labourer.

The same William Partridge, labourer is named as father on Odell marriage certs of children;
Harriett to John Wells on 21/4/1843
William Bolt to Hannah Fennell on 10/09/1846
Mary (or Mercy) to William Westley on 29/11/1850

Eliza Partridge baptism on 23/02/1817 at Odell to William & Elizabeth - abode is Odell - why she says on census she was born Isham, Northants is a mystery.

William Partridge did marry Elizabeth Ward at Odell on 21/10/1816

Eliabeth Partridge was buried Odell on 29/12/1830 age 36 (= born 1794)
William P was buried Odell on 13/9/1863 age 70 (= born 1793) so ties up nicely with the one baptised Poddington on 25/5/1793

Think that one's sorted now - cheers John
