Needle in a haystack (Completed Thanks Lin)
« on: Wednesday 07 July 10 02:31 BST (UK) »
Well I am at my wits end looking for the birth of Jane Stanfield abt 1821, Eccleshall, Stafford.

Her name appears on the 1841 census under her married name of Halden, and gives Stafford as birth place.
But do you think her name appears on the I.G.I?  No such luck.

But there is a number of Stanfield's getting married in the area at the same time as Jane, I presume these are her siblings, but no indication of parents.
Jane's marriage was 24 Dec 1838, St Mary, Stafford.

Would there be a kind person out there who may hold some parish records for these early dates?

Cheers

Hi Suzy, I am going to Stafford Archives next week.  I can look up the Marriage, do you already have that?  Linell.

How lovely of you.
Jane Stanfield's marriage to James Halden was indeed the 24 Dec 1838, St Marys (I.G.I) but no parents names given.
Hopefully something will show at the record office?

Hi Linell.

Sorry to bother you

Just going over my requests again, and I notice we never caught up on this question about Jane Stanfield.  Unless you sent me a P.M which I may not of received.
Were you able to find this record?
Sorry I never got back sooner, after the CHCH earthquakes I totally forgot and one computer getting damaged losing all un-backed information.

Hi Suzy, sorry I thought I had done that and posted it??  It is not on here though, no worries, I will go again next week and get back to you.  Sorry to hear about your earthquakes, must have been horrific, glad you are ok, all best wishes from Lin.
