I find it difficult to think of WHK not remembering that his mother's maiden name was also Kemp.

I am not surprised if his mother's name was incorrect as she died when he was a youngster.

Thank all, especially 'Cando'.

As of now (Dec 14, 2014) I am resigned to not knowing FOR SURE if the William Henry Kemp who emigrated to Bundaberg was indeed my first cousin twice removed (ie my Grandfather's first cousin.)

I think only DNA would resolve my conundrum and that does not appear a likely eventuality.

Cheerio

Hi johngirl, we recently came across the name of William Henry Kemp in Southern Tasmania. We appear to have purchased land previously owned by William and are currently trying to determine build date of an old cottage.
