I have convict George Richards born ?1778 Pinxton - he died in Botany Bay Australia 1831.  It is said his parents were Thomas and Anne Richards.  Do you have any information on his parents or his birth ?

Hi Pat,  I have George as being baptised on 5 April, 1778, son of Thomas. I have found the following marriage in the transcribed Parish  registers,  31 December, 1870, Thomas Richards to Ann HOLMES, marriage by BANNS which were read on 16, 23 and 30 December. Hope this helps.  Regards Trevor

Hi Pat, I was just thinking if you made a request to someone who has access to the Australian records on  Ancestry they may be able to tell you what ship he was transported on, date of arrival, possibly marriage details if he married in Australia and a burial date. Good luck. Regards Trevor.
