looking for death in glam
« on: Tuesday 13 July 10 12:33 BST (UK) »
Hi All,
I have 4 death refs. taken fromm Freebmd for Daniel Morgan but only the 1872 ties in with his age.  His birth could be   1829 or 1833 aprox  I sent for the cert. dated 1872, but I don't think it is the correct one.  In 1871 he is in Treforest and in 1881 his widow is in Lantwit Fardre.  I'm guessing he would  be buried in Glyntaff.  Does any rootschatter have death refs bewteen 1871 and 1881 for burial in Glyntaff or do you think Freebmd has transcribed all of them for Pontypridd?

According to Free BMD the only year in that time period they haven't completed is 1879 but I don't know where that is, it could be anywhere in uk http://www.freebmd.org.uk/progressD.shtml#1870

Thanks for that info.  It gives me something to work on.  I'll look up deaths in  1879. I did think to ring Glyntaff, but I'm sure they wouldn't be keen to look up records for 10yrs.

If you live in the area perhaps you could search local newspapers for a notice of his death?

Hi all,

Thanks for your replies. I'm looking for death refs from 1871 to 1881 for Daniel Morgan living in Treforest Glam.  I'm not  living in that area, but I don't think his death would be in the local newspaper.
