Hi,
Have just discovered that my gg. grandmother, Elizabeth KENNY b. 1834 and her sister Bridget b. 1832 were orphans of the Irish Potato Famine.
They were sent to Sydney Australia on the ship "Tippoo Saib" in 1850. The shipping records state that their parents William and Ann were both dead.
I am new to Irish genealogy and was wondering there are any sites that could help me with research on Elizabeth's family in Ireland and the Famine.
Many thanks,
Marg Stevens
