Hi my gran Elisabeth McCoskry 1909 Dalbeattie daughter of John McCoskry and Mary Ann Rigg McGinn  used to say that she was related to the Rigg's of the banks of Kirkcudbright can anyone throw anylight onto what or where the Banks of Kirkcudbright  were thanks in anticipation for your responces  Angus

Banks is a big house/farm just outside Kirkcudbright. Rigg is a local name and in 1841 there was a William Rigg farming at High Banks, a nearby farm.  Hope this helps.
