All Saints Loughborough - HART
« on: Wednesday 14 July 10 14:25 BST (UK) »
I wondered if someone could look up a baptism in All Saints Loughborough parish records

Thomas Ingleman Hart - 10 October 1816 - parents Thomas Peter and Charlotte Jane (I got that from the familysearch pilot site)

I would like to know if there is a profession for Thomas Peter Hart and if there is a marriage for Thomas Peter and Charlotte Jane, and any siblings (although there are younger siblings baptised in Nottingham, so the family may have just been passing through)

Many thanks

whoops!!  just got into the car before the heavens opened.  :o

anyway - good info for you as follows:

Thomas ingleman s/o Thomas Peter hart & Charlotte jane chr 10/10/1816
abode; Devizes, wiltshire  thomas Peter - innkeeper!

Arabella jane d/o Thomas Peter & Charlotte jane Hart 13/2/1819
abode: Loughborough  TP: Innkeeper

I checked indexes 1791 -1820 and no other baps. no marriage 1810 - 1820 so i assume TP & CJ married in Devizes and moved to L'boro into a pub prob shortly before Thomas I's birth as abode still devizes.
I checked the local book of pubs /inns etc with historical detail - no mention of TP but next time in can check upstairs in local card index. may be there if entry in local paper  for becoming innkeeper.

Gosh that was quick - many thanks. That clears up a mystery - I have only been able to find Thomas Ingleman Hart on one census - 1851 - and it says he was born in Devizes.
I wonder why they moved around so much. Most people stayed in one place for generations in those days.

An innkeeper - I like it. I thought he might have been a preacher, moving around like that.

its possible he was born Devizes but bap.Loughborough that would explain abode -devizes which holds up the theory they had just moved.

looking for census now.
