Gallippali
« on: Thursday 31 March 05 19:42 BST (UK) »
Hi

My husband's uncle was in Gallippali during WW1.  I don't think it will possible for us to find his service record as we know nothing about his regiment etc., just where he served and that when returning home he was admitted to a sanitorium, added to this he had a very common name.
I thought if I can't find out about him personally, I could at least try and find some information about where he served. Can anyone recommend a good site on this subject?

Regards
Sandie

Try the "Long Long Trail" website:  here's its link to Gallipoli:

There's loads of general - and specific - info on this site, and I've found it very useful.
