It was actually Maria Ann Garrick as I was wondering if she had any other members of her family eg the name of Garrick , Garriock


yes Maria Ann Garrick is my Great Grandmother, and I live in Australia

Did she marry Thomas Cook in 1875?

I see from the marriage notice for Maria Anne & Thomas, that she was also (apparently) known as "Anna Maria" ?

This might be your lady on the following passenger list ?

"HOWRAH" from London - arrived Wellington, 30 November 1874 :

Single Women - Passenger

GARRICK - Ann - aged 20 years - Shetland

Yes to all the answers to Maria Ann Garrick she Married Thomas Cook 14.7.1875
I do have their marriage certificate as well as the birth of her children to Thomas,
Annie Maria cook is the same
As it her stepdaughters  Elizabeth Ann Grayson & Mary Ann Bowen that at this time I am trying to find out more as I can only go by what small information that was told to me. that their names an when they arrived in New Zealand.

I do have the shipping records of Maria Ann Garrick listed as Ann Garrick in 1874 when she arrived. If any of her Brothers or sisters or relations that may have went to NZ before she travelled to there

Anna Maria Cook born 24.9.1878 at Hau Villiage Died as a infant
Martha Alice Cook borrn 30.1.1885
Thomas William Cook born 8.6.1876 Hau Villiage
Samuel James Cook Born 12..12.1880 died as infant
John Cook born 28.2.1882 my Grand Father Born Bell Block
