Pubs in Coleford and Pensford

Hi I wonder if any one can help me with these pubs please?
I would like to know any thing about the history of each. and where I can get photographs of them from please

The Kings Head Inn Coleford known to have been kept 1821-1851 by John Jefferies
The Kings Arms Pensford Known to have been kept by James BUTTON 1841-1851
The George Pensford Known to be kept by Elizabeth Higgins in 1861

No confusing isn't it I thought of the Gloucester Coleford first too this one is near kilmersdon O think one of the three pubs is still open but I just cant get a history about any of them I must be doing something wrong  ???

Hello Trees,

The Kings Head Inn is still in Lower Coleford today. It is very old and has considerable character.

I have passed it on numerous occasions and it does a good trade at weekends.

It is situated in a pretty spot and very rural even these days.

I cannot find a photo of it however.

They might be able to assist you in the Frome Museum as they keep a database there.

It is quite a substantial place. The setting is close to the river and on a very bad bend, almost a hairpin bend as you come down the steep hill from Coleford.

Jo - is the link of the Inn's website the correct one?

If so, google street view will give you a better picture Trees.

Using G...gle Street View I can see a lovely old George and Dragon in Pensford I wonder if that was "The Geoge" concerned it looks old enough?
I haven't located the King's Arms there though
