The 1851 Census (HO107; Piece: 1932; Folio: 104; Page: 9) has the family at Monkton Deverill, Wiltshire with Thomas Rawlings born in Somerset (Coleford?) and Sarah born in Kilmersdon, Somerset. One of their eldest children, Richard, is still with them in 1851 and is indicated as being born in Kilmersdon. Although Benjamin is not with them, Joseph is with the family and indicated as born in Monkton Deverill, Wiltshire.
The 1841 Census has the family at Monkton Deverill (HO107; Piece 1173; Book: 5; Folio: 4; Page: 1). All of the family is indicated as not born in Wiltshire except Jane, Benjamin and Joseph. However, the parish register for Monkton Deverill does not have baptisms for any of these three children. They were also not baptised at Brixton Deverill, Longbridge Deverill, Hill Deverill or Kingston Deverill.
