Whither Richard Bradley?????
« on: Wednesday 21 July 10 09:22 BST (UK) »
Hi all

1851 finds Richard Bradley and wife Maria and their family at Shavers End, Dudley HO107/ 2032/ 62/ 50.

For the life of me, I am unable to locate them either before or after.  I've tried kids without success.  They may well have died before 61, but should be somewhere in 41.

Where I take all day and night, you super sleuths will crack the problem in no time, probably.

Who is Maria????

Any info would be gratefully received.

Thank you

Mark ;)

By 1861 Maria has (supposedly) remarried to a much younger William COLLY, and has several of the BRADLEY children with her: RG9/2057/119/41.

No surprise there, then

You cannot possibly be suggesting that the woman was living out of wedlock  ???  ;)

I suspect also she wasn't necessarily properly attached to Richard as their nuptials are proving elusive!!

Richard was allegedly 8 years younger than she was, so she had a thing for the toyboy.

I think we can pretty much accept that Richard is dead by 1861.

Not very many of this family have made old bones, I assure you. Making 60 is a rarety.

Thank you

Mark
