Im researching for the first time a family with Irish descendants, and struggling with some first names, and why they moved to the South Yorks area. Firstly the names have been spelt as:-
Percilier
Mangt
I do not know if they have been mis-spelt and cannot really logically decipher they names, would appreciate some help.
Also the father of these children was born in 1818, by 1859 he was living in Sheffield South Yorkshire working as a labourer , do I assume he came for the work in the mines / steelworks, there is a big Irish contingency in the late 1840s- 1860s who had moved to South Yorkshire.
Any information greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Jayne
