Aughmacart and fisherstown
« on: Thursday 22 July 10 18:22 BST (UK) »
my direct ancestor Elinor Lewis formerly Scott nee laban wrote her will and gives her husband as henry lewis, aughmacart queens co. gent 23 march 1746. Full 4 pp 15 Dec 1747(any ideas what this last sentence means?)
henry lewis my husband  exor.(executor) marriage settlement 9 July 1734 executed by me(by name elinor scott alias Laban, Widow of william Scott late of fisherstown Queens co. on intermarriage. there is more but i dont have it to hand, my question is is there anyway i can find Elinor's marriage to henry or William? also i have her daughter sarah lewis marrying robert hutton, sarah lewis being born 1708, that doesnt tally with elinor's marriage to henry in 1734, could sarah have been sarah scott daughter of elinor and william and not daughter of henry lewis? i am trying to find out my lineage whether it stems through henry lewis or william scott. i dont know when william scott died or where. any advice appreciated.

thanx for that, i should have said, that william died before 1746 or even before 1734 when elinor married henry lewis. still could be his will though, but was it common in those days to have wills such a long time after a persons death? trying to confirm if the 1757 will is thre william i am looking for or his son.
