Marriage look-up GREAT MILTON

Looking for the marriage of John Saunders to Mary [Maiden name unknown]. Marriage sometime around 1780-1800 in Gt/Lt Milton.

I did check the records and could find no marriage for John and Mary between 1760 - 1826 in Great Milton. Perhaps Little Milton is separate.

Did try searching to see if they had any children and found these, don't know if they are of any help.

Thomas bapt. 24/2/1799
Priscilla bapt. 19/9/1802
Harriet bapt. 2/3/1807

Didn't find anymore children between 1807 - 1827, but the birth of Thomas may indicate they were married near 1799.  In the marriage Index the only John who married, did so in 1747, so probably not your John

Ran out of time I'm afraid but willing to carry on looking next time I'm in the library, also any other info you maybe looking for.

Thank you so much...this is exactly what we were looking for. We believed that Thomas had siblings..Priscilla, Harriet and Hannah. Would you be able to see if there is a Hannah Saunders, around the same sort of time..and if so, who her parents were? And the burial records to see any deaths? I know that John had died before the 1841 census. Do the baptism records give any more details?

We gathered from census records that the Saunders may not have originated from the Gt Milton area..Lt Milton I believe didn't have any parish records until the 1840s? So i'm not sure where John and Mary would have got married. I noticed on the familysearch site there was a marriage in St Giles, which is a possibility.

I can't see any obvious children for this couple in Oxford.
