There is a photo on the Glenbow archives NB-16-178 entitled R B Bennett's return to Calgary which picutres Walter in July 1928 so he must have died between 1928 & 1948. The dedication of a window to him in 1953 at The Cathedral Church of the Redeemer says he died 1916 but this is impossible as he had worked on the editoirial staf of the Herald for 17 years and he only came to Canada in 1912. Perhaps it was 1936 or 1946?

His wife Elizabeth (nee Hanson ) must have re-married to Ho Lem between 1948 & 1953.

I have been trawling through the papers day by day on the 'our future our past' archive but as it is by each day it was a massive job!!!

There was a small note in the Lethbridge paper (searchable by word) about Walter's passing which gave a date which made it easier to find.
