Rae and Livingston(e) families
« on: Friday 01 April 05 16:16 BST (UK) »
My Rae ggf was born in the same tenement house as David Livingston (now a Scottish National memorial at Blantyre) and at least one great-grandmother had the name Livingston.  I'm looking for information on David's family tree and on sources for both names - including the George Rae, also born in Blantyre, who was the engineer aboard the Lady Nyasa, Livingston's boat.
Jones family (Dunany Point, Co. Louth, Ireland), Rae and Livingston(e) families (Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland), and Horan (somewhere in Ireland!)

My GGF, Daniel Rae, was born in the tenement house as well. He does have a connection to the George you speak of. I believe they went to Australia, correct?

I think David Livingstone's folk were from Appin or Lismore?

Skoosh.
