« on: Thursday 29 July 10 22:12 BST (UK) »
I am tracing the decendents of John Osborne and Bessie Maxwell. They were married c 1843 in Glencolmcille, Co Donegal. They had at least six children one of which was James, born born 1846. James married a Elizabeth Reilly from Drimroe. They were married on 8th March 1877 in Glencolmcille. Their children include Fanny Jane b.1878, Elizabeth b 1879, John James b.1882 David b.1884, George b. 1889.

Does anybody have any information on their decendents.

Many thanks for the information. I Live in Dublin and I am a direct descendant of john and Bessie Osborne who lived in Glencolmcille.

Their daughter married a Moses McNelis and their decendents lived in Glencolcille.

Her brother My great grandfather John Osborne was born about 1849 and joined the RIC. Some of his siblings went abroad, for example his brother David settled in Australia.

I don't have much more information. family legend has it that some went to the US in the 1860/1870 but don't really know
